Nikon D700 Guerrilla Style Billboard

This ad is so interesting because it gives an actual feel of the camera’s function. It is mounted in a busy subway station in Seoul, Korea. Moreover, the passersby, while walking on the red carpet, get the experience of being a celebrity because of the paparazzi ‘act’ where the billboard has life-like images of paparazzi and their flashing camera lights. Accidental superstars then follow the red carpet all the way out of the station into the mall where they can directly purchase the new Nikon D700.

The Trends in this Ad: This cool ad could be a (Fantasy Adventure) because it creates excitement to people especially those who would like to feel special at all times.

The ad provides an atmosphere of being a celebrity even for once and in an unexpected way which would persuade the passersby to buy the camera. Then it creates thirst to savor that amazing experience all the time when they buy the camera (Pleasure Revenge).

Even just for one click, one can experience the fulfillment of his/her narcissism. Atleast in the simplest way, capturing self-portraits in just a second could be fulfilling. (Cashing Out)

No matter how we see it, we (consumers) are always drawn to keeping our memories alive. Through the years, we have seen the evolution of cameras. Precious moments are captured because of these cameras. Photographs could always bring back the memories as we grow older, as we go along the way of life. (Down-Aging)

SixSenses Destination Spa – Phuket

If you’re looking for a spa fantasy, then Six Senses Destination Spa, Phuket is the perfect place to be that lasts for days and even weeks. It depends on how long you want to stay. There’s no wonder why this destination spa is so popular because it goes way beyond pampering. Up in the villa is all about beautiful organic forms in unity to the natural world. A day is tracked by a complete rest and very deep sleep. The beds are very comfortable which is why it could be difficult to get to early morning yoga or kayaking. Stress could not be defined in this place but just complete relaxation. In this place there is an amazing future for travellers looking for a total escape. A spa doesn’t have to mean a single ‘savor’ of treatment and that’s what this destination spa understands.

The Trends in this Destination Spa: Since the destination spa makes you feel like home and makes you feel totally absent from the harsh environment of the real world, (Cocooning) comes out as one of the trends that describe this place.

The Trends in this Destination Spa: Since the destination spa makes you feel like home and makes you feel totally absent from the harsh environment of the real world, (Cocooning) comes out as one of the trends that describe this place.

(Fantasy Adventure) is another trend as the destination spa is described as a ‘spa fantasy’.

Destination Spa’s service of customization goes with (Egonomics).

Since this is the best place to be, women are too much connected to this kind of pampering that’s why it also goes with (Female Think).

Not only women would like to be pampered but also men so (Mancipation) can also be another trend of this spa.

Robert Bradford: Recycled Toy Sculptures

Robert Bradford is a London-born and U.K. and U.S. trained visual artist who is also a psychotherapist. He created life-size and latger-than-life sculptures of humans and animals from discarded plastic items, mainly toys but also other colorful plastic bits and pieces, such as combs and buttons, brushes and parts of clothes pegs. In 2002, he started to consider the possibilities that his children’s forgotten toys could have as part of something bigger. Bradford says he likes the idea that the plastic pieces have a history, some unknown past, and that they also pass on a “cultural” history as each of the pieces represents a point in time. Recycling is not his primary concern, but each sculpture certainly keeps quite a few pieces from becoming landfill. Some of the sculptures contain pieces from up to 3,000 toys and sell for £12,000 (US$19,000).

The Trends in this Artpiece: (Down-Aging) is the first trend I thought of for this artpiece because it was created out of Bradford’s idea that the plastic pieces have a history, some unkown past, and that they also pass on a “cultural” history as each of the pieces represents a point in time.

Another trend for this artpiece is (Save Our Society) because it also concerns recycling although it is not the artist’s primary purpose of creation.

This artpiece can go with the trend (Fantasy Adventure) as it is created out of imagination and it creates the feeling of an illusion of a dog made of plastic toys. With this new sculpture, it gives the feeling of uniqueness, artistry, unrealism to consumers.

(Small Indulgences) For art enthusiasts, this sculpture could also be an excellent reward for their interest in the arts.
