Tree Life (Tree Life)

Treehouses have become creative eco-statements in the design world. They allow people to literally be "in" nature and peace above the stressful street level of life. The Cool Hunter will invite top local and international architects, artists and designers to design for the event a modern treehouse, created from sustainable and recycled materials
Save Our Society (SOS) - Trees are fast becoming an endangered species. Forests are levelled by the acre to make way for concrete. Why not live in them instead of destroying them?
Down Aging - Some of use had tree houses as children, those who didn't have it dreamed of having one one time or another. It was a castle in the sky, or a fort with your battle plan. Here's this dream realized, but much much more modern than the rickety plywood and tin shack of the your younger days.
Icon Toppling - The idea that civilization was created so that we could stay as far away from nature as possible is outdated. Why can't man live in trees comfortably? We have evolved so much in technology and design concepts that we are more than well equipped to complement nature, not compete with it.
Cashing Out - What could be more back to basics than living in a tree?

EatDrinkChic (Lifestyle)
http://www.thecoolhunter.net/article/detail/1621/eat-drink-chic
EatDrinkChic has a crafty, girly vibe but there are no crocheted polyester-yarn throw cushions or quilted tea cozies here. The blog is about interiors, parties, weddings and food and Amy Moss offers readers DIY ideas which she styles, designs and photographs and offers it all for free to her followers. It won't be long before book publishers come knockin
Cocooning - Who doesn't want a pleasant home to live in? Not only are you getting tips and inspiration on how to do it, but you're also getting tips on how to do it FASHIONABLY
Eve-olution - More and more women are branching out and sharing their ideas and unique point of views that other women can relate to and get inspired from.
Down Aging - What is more nostalgic than a homecooked meal or the smell of freshly baked bread or a perfectly coordinated tea party? These are little indulgences and stress busters that keep you young.
Clanning - Crafters, designers and foodies unite! The cause? Prettifying everything.
Fantasy Adventure - If you want to be a crafty domestic goddess for a weekend, you may do so with a pink and white pastry party using your languishing vintage saucer collection and origami heart invites. After that, it's all living vicariously from your computer at your desk at work.
Pleasure Revenge - It's my free time and I'll do what I want to. If I want to embroider the lyrics of "Bad Medicine" using Pekingese stitch and ancient silk floss from sacred Tibetan silk worms, I will do so. I will make Whoever said that taking up the domestic arts is a betrayal of feminist ideals need to review what feminism is all about (it's about choice) and to be shot in the kneecaps.
illy Cafe In Push Button House (Design)

With the push of a button, the house opens in 90 seconds like a flower and transforms from a compact container into a fully furnished and functional space with a kitchen, dining room, bathroom, bedroom, living room and library. All materials used in the Biennale house were recyclable or recycled. As Andrea Illy, chairman and CEO of illycaffe, has been quoted as saying, illy was initially interested in Kalkin's idea as an examination of 'home as one continuous mouldable surface, a relief against which human activity would pop out.'
Cocooning - Old shipping containers as sleek and portable homes? Why not? Any box can be transformed into your own cozy nest with the right elements.
Save Our Society (SOS) - The design is socially and ecologically conscious. Unused shipping containers are converted into sleek mini houses/cafes that can be folded up when business hours are over or if the person leaves the house or the house needs to be moved.
Anchoring - You have done your part. Your house is made out of an old shipping container, pat yourself on the back for giving back to the Earth and having enough sense to reuse something that's not very obvious. It feels fantastic and your friends think you're cool.
Cashing out - Coffee and living need not be a complicated affair and neither does building a house if you choose to live in one container or several. The structure and venue are simplified.
